STATEMENT

Stanley Gicaro (stanworldonline), is a New York Metropolitan-based Filipino American artist and designer whose work centers on reflections of growing up as an Asian American in the ’90s, explored through the lens of internet satire. He previously worked in animation/illustration with companies such as Tumblr, A Studio Digital, and Zumiez. His practice now focuses on portrait paintings of his signature characters—bold, stylized figures that blur the line between mascot and self-portrait, often layered with themes of identity, nostalgia, and cultural dissonance.
